What’s the deal: Michelin-starred chef John Fraser is offering restaurant workers in New York City a 70% discount on menu prices at his restaurants as part of his “The Industry Table” program. The program is Fraser’s way of saying thank you to those who persevered during the COVID-19 pandemic. The discount will be available at Fraser’s restaurants including Iris, La Marchande, The Terrace, and Outdoor Gardens at the Times Square Edition Hotel and North Fork Table & Inn on the East End of Long Island.

La Marchande is a contemporary French brasserie located on the ground floor of The Wall Street Hotel, offering a modern twist on traditional French cuisine. Executive Chef Rick Horiike collaborates with Chef John Fraser to create lighter fare that incorporates vinaigrettes and broths in place of the heavier dishes typical of French brasseries.
The menu features signature dishes such as “French Onion Dumplings,” “Steamed Dover Sole” with vermouth-lime butter, “Lamb Prime Rib,” and “Maitake Steak Frites” served with vegan au poivre, with ingredients sourced from around the world, including Southeast Asia.
La Marchande also boasts a wine list of over 100 French-focused bottles, including grower Champagnes and library Beaujolais, with a focus on showcasing the unique terroir of each wine. The restaurant also offers a selection of exclusively French vermouths that can be enjoyed on their own or in signature cocktails like the “Saffrantine,” La Marchande’s signature Martini.

Current restaurant workers can take advantage of this program by visiting one of Fraser’s participating restaurants and showing their work ID. They can enjoy a discounted meal with a VIP treatment. The program also reserves a table-for-two every night for restaurant workers at each of Fraser’s restaurants.
Workers can book two Industry Table dinners per year at each restaurant.
