Founded in 2014 by sisters Martina and Juliana Fracchia and their longtime best friend Camila Basigalup, OL’DAYS was inspired by the traditions of hospitality and reunion that shaped the trio growing up in Argentina. They currently operate locations in Flatiron, Miami, Buenos Aires, and now TriBeCa.

As we stepped into OL’DAYS TriBeCa, we were immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The space was filled with natural light and had a rustic feel, with wooden tables and chairs and exposed brick walls.

We were greeted by friendly staff members who showed us to our table, and we settled in to explore the menu.

OL’DAYS at TriBeCa covers a large space, spanning 2,000 sqft, with 80 indoor indoor seats, including a mezzanine that can seat up to 30 guests, which is available to rent for private events. The decor is warm and welcoming, with lots of natural light and an airy feel.

The overall design is both chic and cozy, with rustic touches like wood accents and exposed brick walls, mixed with modern touches like sleek light fixtures and an open kitchen.

The whimsical murals that adorned the walls caught our eyes, and after asking the staff we learned that the team had worked closely with Argentinian artist Flor Chedufau to design them. The murals were inspired by the brand’s signature lemon tree motif, and they added a playful touch to the rustic decor.

Another standout feature of OL’DAYS was the handmade mugs that customers could purchase to take home. The team had collaborated with Argentinian ceramicist Sofia Scotti to create these beautiful mugs, which were both functional and aesthetically pleasing. They added a special touch to the coffee program, and we couldn’t resist picking one up for ourselves.

As for the main menu, OL’DAYS TriBeCa offers new dishes exclusive to this location.

These dishes include the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich (grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, homemade chipotle sauce & arugula on ciabatta), Lomito (grilled beef tenderloin, fried egg, homemade corn mayo, lettuce & tomato on ciabatta), Sweet Burrata Toast (homemade baby heirloom tomato chutney & creamy burrata on sourdough), and The Orchard (brie cheese, roasted rainbow carrots & pistachios with a touch of honey on sourdough).

One of the things we were also excited to see was the kids’ menu, which offers whimsical takes on OL’DAYS classics like Monster Avocado Toast, Crazy Face Homemade Yogurt, Peanut Butter & Jelly Monster Friend, and more.

It’s clear that the team at OL’DAYS places an emphasis on making their restaurant welcoming to families, and the kids’ menu is just one example of that.

But perhaps the highlight of the menu is the all-day brunch service, served seven days a week.

Guests can expect a mix of sweet and savory dishes like Champ Pancakes (oat and yogurt pancakes filled with mashed banana, topped with coconut flakes), Buddha Bowl (wild quinoa, adzuki beans, tomatoes, seeds, sauteed spinach in kiwi vinaigrette, roasted hummus, goji berries, cashews), fresh pressed juice, and more.

As coffee lovers, we were delighted to see that OL’DAYS places a strong emphasis on coffee, with a robust coffee program featuring beans sourced from Ethiopia and other coffee regions to create unique high-quality blends.

Coffee can be enjoyed in a variety of preparations, we tried the Housemade Almond Milk, which was made fresh daily and added a creamy, nutty flavor to our coffee.

It was the perfect complement to our meal and made us feel like we were indulging in a special treat.

OL’DAYS TriBeCa also offers a compelling cocktail menu featuring a variety of herbaceous alcoholic and non-alcoholic selections.

The expertly crafted cocktails are designed to complement the restaurant’s farm-to-table fare, offering refreshing and well-balanced drinks that are perfect for any time of day.

One standout cocktail is the Lychee Rose, a delightful concoction made with lychee, rosewater, and sparkling rosé. The drink is served in a beautiful coupe glass and is garnished with a delicate rose petal, making it a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.

The lychee provides a sweet and fruity note, while the rosewater adds a subtle floral undertone that blends perfectly with the effervescence of the sparkling rosé.

For those who prefer non-alcoholic drinks, OL’DAYS TriBeCa offers the Butterfly Pea Cloud, a spirit-free cocktail made with oat milk, lavender, and butterfly pea tea. The drink is served in a tall glass and is topped with a fluffy cloud of whipped oat milk.

The butterfly pea tea adds a beautiful blue color to the drink, and the lavender provides a calming and aromatic note that complements the nuttiness of the oat milk perfectly.

Final thoughts

Overall, our experience at OL’DAYS TriBeCa was fantastic. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was delicious, and the coffee was some of the best we’ve had in a long time. We would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a meal or catch up with friends.

This is no doubt a result of the restaurant’s founders’ upbringing in Argentina, where hospitality is deeply ingrained in the culture. From the friendly staff to the cozy interior, everything about the restaurant is designed to make you feel at home, and we can’t wait to visit again soon.

P.S. special thanks to Briana Balducci for the amazing imagery!
